Bisacquino – 03 May
Feast of the Crucifix
Devotion to the Crucifix represents a salient feature of the devotion of the Bisacquinese. On the occasion of the feast that is dedicated to him, thirty-two precious statues of as many saints arrive in the Mother Church from the different churches of the country, which after the traditional greeting to the Holy Crucifix, will wait for him in the churchyard, from which they will then accompany him in procession.

A lavish rite that sees the heavy vara with the simulacrum of Christ advance through the streets of the center, preceded by statues of the saints and St. Joseph and the Virgin Mary. Once back at the Mother Church, the procession will culminate in the greeting of the various saints to the reunited Holy Family-a very moving moment, experienced with much participation by the community.
