Hadrian’s Palace – November 11

Feast of St. Martin

An original holiday that draws on Balkan roots and celebrates couples married within the past year, who receive gifts in baskets filled with flowers and sweets. The newlyweds are also given pitta, a traditional round bread.

Through the streets of the village, visitors can admire the Sanmartini, as the baskets that newlyweds receive for the occasion from friends and relatives are called.

There is a rich program of initiatives, including guided tours, traveling tastings, open and free museums and excursions to the Reserve and to the famous Solomon’s Stone. Finally, special menus based on local products can be enjoyed in the village restaurants.
